I have discussed before, how your circadian rhythm (sleep cycle), your eating and emotional patterns affect your gut bacteria. Thus, ultimately your immunity: the state of your physical and emotional health is dependent on your daily routine and these patterns.
We are a microcosm within the vast macrocosm around us, our physical bodies, our minds and our spirit constantly interact, alter, build, breakdown and respond to the immediate environment around and the vast cosmos wherein we exist..

How does the Lunar cycle affect your health?
The moon’s cycle intricately influences your body’s circadian rhythm, impacting the activity and reproduction of friendly bacteria in you gut as well as harmful microbes & parasites. This alignment with your internal clock makes good & harmful bacteria and parasites more active and reproductive during specific phases, including the full moon.
How are our Hormones and Neurotransmitters affected during the moon cycle?
Evidently, research proves that during a full moon, Melatonin production decreases.
Melatonin is a neurotransmitter crucial for rest and immune support. When your melatonin levels drop, your immune system’s ability to fend off harmful bacteria and parasites diminishes, creating an environment where these can thrive.
Doesn't this explain that disturbed sleep/ sleeplessness run up to and during full moon?
Conversely, Serotonin, known as the “feel good” hormone, surges during the full moon.
Harmful bacteria, yeast candida and other parasites profit from this boost in serotonin.
The harmful bacteria effectively utilise serotonin to enhance their mobility, reproduction, strength, and feeding window.
Furthermore, these microbes employ serotonin to form biofilms within your body, strategically inhibiting your immune system’s efforts to eliminate them.
Understanding this dynamic interplay between the Moon cycles and microbial reproduction cycles is key in ridding and protecting the body's immunity.
