Weekly, @vedantnutrition on Zoom.
I intend for weekly Chanting to offer a simple yet profound routine that invites us to pause, reflect, and connect with the timeless wisdom of Sanskrit slokas/ mantras.
To maximise the healing benefits of these treasures of Vedic knowledge and power, we will recite/ chant the carefully curated Slokas as a group.
Slokas are poetic verses that encapsulate profound truths about life, nature and the universe. Rooted in ancient Indian scriptures such as the Vedas, Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita these verses offer timeless guidance on how to live a fulfilling and meaningful life.
The idea behind Chanting is to dedicate a few moments every morning to learn and reflect on a new sloka. This practice will help ground us and steady our mind, instinct and body.
Each sloka is a nugget of wisdom, offering profound insights into various aspects of life. For instance, the well known sloka "Karmanye Vadhikaraste" from the Bhagavad Gita reflects on the importance of focusing on our actions rather than the outcomes.
The sloka "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" reminds us of the underlying unity of all beings, regardless of race and religion.
We will pick a new sloka every week, discuss its origin, meaning and significance.
We can recite/chant Slokas aloud or simply meditate on its vibration and message.
Join me every week, as we explore the profound teachings and healing power of Sanskrit slokas.
Dates to be announced soon...
